The dRPC through the Ford Foundation BUILD grant trained 354 Hisbah officials and key stakeholders in addressing issues of Gender Based Violence (GBV) at community levels in Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara in collaboration with Islamic Law experts, GBV experts and CSOs including Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria, FOMWAN, and Center for Information Technology and Development (CITAD). A master training was conducted in December 2022 with 5 cascade training in February 2023. The series of training lead to increased commitment by stakeholders to collaborate towards ending the harmful practice of child marriage and other forms of child abuse in the Northwest region.
