 The Partnership for Advancing Women in Economic Development (PAWED) led by the President, Women in Management, Business and Public Service, WIMBIZ, Ms Hansatu Adegbite, was supported by the dRPC to attend the 2023 Women Deliver conference in Kigali, Rwanda.PAWED convened a panel on gender on the 18th of July at the Women Deliver conference. WEE materials produced by the projects and WIMBIZ were shared at the conference. WIMBIZ is a Nigerian non-profit organization that empowers women in management, business, and public service. With the support of PAWED, they will be attending the Women Deliver 2023 Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, from July 17-20, 2023. This significant event brought together over 6,000 people in Kigali and 200,000+ people online through the Virtual Conference to advance gender equality across multiple sectors. The conference encouraged collective action that promotes gender equality, holds leaders accountable, empowers the feminist movement, and creates space for women. WIMBIZ will join other grassroots advocates, civil society, governments, private sector players, multilateral organizations, philanthropies, and youth with diverse expertise to contribute to discussions and interactive workshops on women’s economic empowerment, accountability, care economy/unpaid care, data-driven advocacy, economic justice, and rights. |
