Mr. Utz Johann Pape, Lead Economist of the West Africa-Poverty & Equity of the World Bank Group, chaired the meeting. The participants included the UNICEF, United Nations, Central Bank of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Statistics, Ministry of Budget and National Planning, French Embassy, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), development Research and Projects Centre (dRPC), Centre for the Study of Economy in Africa (CSEA Afri ca), World Food Programme (WFP), The World Bank, and the leadership of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) including the Statistician General of the Federation and Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Prince Adeyemi Adeniran. The dRPC also utilized this platform to substantially introduce, discuss, and generate interests about the CPAN/BASIC project and its February 2024 reference group meeting. |
