Project Summary: WOMEN ON WEDNESDAY: MY DATA MY RIGHT project aims to bridge this gap by raising public awareness. The Data Protection Awareness and Training Initiative aims to educate young individuals and stakeholders on data protection rights and policies through a structured and comprehensive program. The project begins with pre-program preparation, involving stakeholder mapping, sending invitations, curriculum development, and a stakeholder engagement meeting to gain insights on their concerns, gaps and perceptions of data rights and protection. The dialogue will also pave the way to facilitate and ensure buy-in as well as stakeholders’ support. The next phase focuses on raising awareness through a well-coordinated radio campaign, featuring informative content and expert guests, supported by visual assets and consistent social media engagement. A high institution awareness campaign will follow, using realistic online scenarios to teach students about data protection, privacy, and responsible online behavior, supplemented with easy-to-understand educational materials. The initiative concludes with the compilation and submission of a detailed final report, highlighting the project’s impact and lessons learned.
