Grantee Name: Rising Hope Girls Educational Foundation (RHGE)

Location: Bwari Area Council, FCT

Project Summary: This project is a community-driven initiative to promote digital empowerment and improve school safety for adolescent girls in underserved communities across Bwari Area Council, FCT Abuja. The project is designed to tackle digital exclusion, gender-based violence, and school dropouts which are critical issues affecting vulnerable girls, including those who are out of school, early married, or displaced.

The program will provide digital skills training and basic PC literacy to 150 girls and low-income women in public schools across Dutse, Byazhin, and Kubwa. It will also promote the re-enrollment and retention of 100 indigent girls by addressing school safety concerns and ensuring inclusive access to digital tools and resources.

In addition, RHGE will conduct advocacy sessions in six communities to raise awareness around gender-based violence, early pregnancies, child labour, and digital inequality. These sessions aim to empower communities to support girls’ rights to education and digital inclusion.

The project will directly benefit 350 individuals, including girls, teachers, and community leaders and indirectly reach over 1,000 community members. Implementation will take place in Byazhin, Kubwa Phase 1-4, Dei-Dei, and Gidangolo within the Bwari Area Council.
