About the Scholarship
The Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research invites applications for the 2026 graduate-level scholarship stream, designed to support outstanding graduate students committed to advancing research in global health. The scholarship fuels graduate-level research in areas aligned with the Institute’s themes: planetary health, global health and humanitarianism, and global health foresighting.
What the Scholarship Offers
- A financial award ranging from CAD 5,000 up to CAD 30,000 per recipient per year, depending on funding availability and academic merit.
- Access to the Dahdaleh Institute’s graduate seminars, research workspace, and invitations to panels, workshops, and the annual Graduate Scholars Symposium.
- Opportunity to present your research annually, engage in interdisciplinary research communities, and contribute to global health dialogues.
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants include domestic and international students entering or already enrolled in full-time master’s or doctoral programs at York University in faculties such as Health; Environmental and Urban Change; Science; Engineering; Liberal Arts & Professional Studies; and other relevant faculties as listed by the Institute.
To qualify, students must plan to conduct original global health research aligned with Dahdaleh Institute’s thematic focus. Coursework-only master’s programs are not eligible.
Application Deadline & Process
Deadline: 16 January 2026, by 12:00 PM Eastern Time (for domestic and international applicants)
Applicants must complete the official application form and submit a research proposal, academic transcripts, CV, and other required documentation. Preference may be given to applicants endorsed by a Dahdaleh Institute Faculty Fellow
