Education Research

Research is a core pillar of all dRPC’s work in the education sector. Baseline research informs the design of dRPC’s projects and interventions such as the PSIPSE MacArthur Foundation funded project. Research also drives mapping missions, monitoring and evaluation studies for donor agencies; and real time monitoring of project activities is conducted as research to inform the progress of projects. In addition, the dRPC conducts commissioned research for development partners to review and redesign country education strategies as in the case of the Malala Fund. As a contribution to evidence generation in the education sector, the dRPC produces regular sentinel studies such as the Annual Analysis of Budget Allocations to the education sector. Such studies have been conducted since 2017. The dRPC also produces routine Policy and Issue Briefs on the National Council on Education and other Education Policy making convenings. Gender analysis informs all dRPC’s research in the education sector.
