dRPC presents data on chronic poverty from its CPAN BASIC study at the CORN conference on social protection

Conflict Research Network West Africa (CORN) Conference in Abuja, The CORN Conference was jointly organized by CORN West Africa and the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR). Its central theme was “Social Protection and Economic Uncertainties in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Societies.” The dRPC, in collaboration with CSEA, presented the preliminary findings from the CPAN/BASIC and DEEP project on chronic poverty from data gathered from Anambra, Benue, Ekiti, Borno, Jigawa and Akwa Ibom state in the conference. The project is exploring the relationship between complex crises (armed conflict, displacement, climate shocks, stressors, and COVID-19), poverty dynamics, and social assistance in Nigeria.
