Applications are now open for the Global Youth Festival (GYF) 2026, a four-day international youth leadership event that will bring together young leaders, changemakers, students, professionals, and innovators from more than 120 countries in Paris, France. Organised by the Headway Institute of Strategic Alliance (HISA), the festival seeks to foster global dialogue, cross-cultural exchange, and youth-led solutions to pressing global challenges.
The festival will provide participants with opportunities to engage in policy discussions, leadership workshops, mentorship sessions, cultural exchange activities, and networking events designed to strengthen leadership skills and promote international collaboration.
Programme Themes
The 2026 edition will focus on a range of critical global issues, including:
- Climate Action and Environmental Justice
- Peace, Diplomacy, and Conflict Resolution
- Education, Innovation, and the Future of Work
- Governance, Democracy, and Civic Participation
- Human Rights, Equality, and Social Justice
- Technology and Social Innovation
- Global Citizenship and Cultural Identity
- Mental Health, Well-being, and Youth Resilience
Scholarship Opportunities
A total of 350 scholarships will be awarded under three categories:
Fully Funded Global Scholar (100 awards)
Successful applicants will receive:
- Round-trip airfare support, Visa fee reimbursement, Shared accommodation in Paris, Meals during the programme, Full festival access, Official certification, Mentorship opportunities, Conference materials and merchandise
Partially Funded Scholar (100 awards)
Benefits include:
Shared accommodation, Meals during the programme, Full access to all festival activities, Certification and mentorship support
Festival Pass Scholar (150 awards)
Recipients will receive:
Access to all festival sessions and activities, Official certification, Networking and mentorship opportunities
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 40 years old at the time of the event;
- Demonstrate leadership potential, motivation, and a commitment to creating positive change;
- Possess working proficiency in English;
- Be available to participate fully in the four-day programme in Paris;
- Come from any academic or professional background. Students, graduates, entrepreneurs, researchers, civil servants, NGO professionals, activists, artists, and young professionals are encouraged to apply.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on:
- Motivation and vision for change;
- Leadership experience, whether formal or informal;
- Community impact and engagement;
- Commitment to cross-cultural collaboration and dialogue.
