MSP implementation: PAS sub-grants conduct assessments in Kaduna, Kano, Niger, and Lagos

PAS is building the advocacy capacity of traditional/district heads as advocates and champions for FP/PHC in their LGAs. PAS collaborated with traditional/district heads from 3 LGAs per state to assess the level of MSP implementation under the BHCPF and PHCUOR in select PHCs. The evidence/findings were then presented by the traditional heads to the LGA leadership during advocacies to improve the implementation of PHCUOR in the PHCs in their locality.

GIWAC- PAS project team led by the representative of the District Head of Kaduna North, Kachia and Zaria Local Government, Alhaji  Haruna Mu’azu  Ward Head U/Rimi , John Makeri Ward Head  Kachia and Lawal Babangida Ahmed  Zaria the team visited 3 PHCs in Kaduna North, Zaria and Kachia to undertake for Minimum  Service Package (MSP) delivery assessment.

The Kano PAS project team led by the District Head of Kunchi Local Government, Alhaji Ali Ado Bayero, Turakin Bichi, represented by Danlami Sarkin Fulani, Alhaji Munnir Kunchi and Aminu Ibrahim Shuwaki visited 3 PHCs in Kunchi LGA to undertake a for Minimum Service Package (MSP) service delivery assessment.

The findings were presented during advocacy to the Local Government Leadership. In Kaduna North Local Government Health Educator (SMOH) Mohammed Mamman. In Kano state, advocacy was conducted to the LGA Primary Health Care Department where they met with the PHC Coordinator (PHCC), Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Health Educator, and the Essential Drugs Officer.
