This award is only open to registered NGOs; unfortunately not to individuals.

No, not at all. This must be misinformation. The maximum sum for the grant is N5 million. This information is clearly stated in our Call for Applications in Daily Nigerian newspapers and on our website.

Your organization meets the criteria of having a project closed out due to suspension of funding and you also mentioned that you focus on women and girls. You did not disclose if you organization is women-led, that is another criteria, an important one but not and absolute one.

Yes, indeed, your organization qualifies. Your organization can apply.

The principle purpose of the NSI is to provide bridging funding for local NGOs which lost funding as a consequence of closure of donor funding interventions. The NSI requests that evidence of such be provided.
Local NGOs which have not experienced funding cuts can apply but given the primary focus of the NSI, the applications of such groups will only be reviewed after NGOs which lost funding are considered.
