NSI Grant Beneficiaries and their Projects

dRPC Project

The development Research and Projects Centre (dRPC) launched the NGO Support Initiative (NSI) Grant in May 2025 to help local NGOs continue essential community programs despite funding challenges. Over three months, the grant supported 17 organizations across all six geo-political zones of Nigeria, ensuring that interventions in women’s economic empowerment, health and well-being, education and digital skills, climate resilience, food security, and gender equality were not interrupted.
Through this initiative, NGOs were able to reach more than 4,410 beneficiaries with vital programs and services. These ranged from women health care and HIV awareness campaigns to digital skills training for girls, advocacy for gender equality, and climate-smart farming techniques for rural women farmers. The grant also provided critical institutional support, helping NGOs retain staff, strengthen operations, and maintain their community networks.
Women and girls were at the heart of these interventions, representing over 70% of total beneficiaries. Programs improved access to health services, boosted education opportunities, and gave women practical tools to sustain their livelihoods. The dRPC-NSI Grant continues to stand as a bridge, ensuring that progress toward gender equality and community development does not stall in the face of funding uncertainty.
