PAS coalition advocates for traditional rulers’ committees to coordinate healthcare delivery in Kano

The PAS coalition in Kano State advocated for the constitution of a permanent committee at the emirate level to coordinate healthcare delivery services through the nomination of representatives to become members of the state level committee on health. The request was made when the coalition in collaboration with the State team paid an advocacy visit to Bichi Emirate on the 11th August 2020.

During the visit, the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Tsanyawa briefed his Highness, the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero about the Ministry’s activities and reiterated the importance of engaging the traditional institutions in implementing all health interventions.

Dr. Aminu Tsanyawa appealed to the Emir to constitute a permanent committee at the Emirate level to coordinate health activities in the emirate and nominate two representatives that will become the members of the State level Committee on Health.
