Project Title: Organizational Capacity Building for Farmer Associations Implementing Afforestation and Reforestation Interventions in Katsina state (KAFCAB Project)

Objectives: The project objectives are:
- Strengthen knowledge and skills to carry out monitoring and evaluation of afforestation and reforestation interventions
- Increase financial management, accounting practices and control systems to implement value for money interventions
- Expand commitment to mainstream gender in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of interventions
- Strengthen project management capacity and competences in developing, revising and implementing work plans

Achievements: dRPC has successfully carried out capacity building workshops for the 5 farmers Associations between February 2014 – February 2015 on the following areas: Project Cycle Management; Financial Management; Monitoring and Evaluation; and Gender mainstreaming. Based on the training curriculums, a manual was developed for the associations to guide their day to day activities.
