Resonat Spei Humanitarian Hub Foundation

Grantee Name: Resonat Spei Humanitarian Hub Foundation

Location: Hong LGA, Adamawa state

Project Summary: This three-month pilot project aims to promote sustainable behavior change in four rural communities within Hong LGA, Adamawa State, Nigeria. The initiative targets deeply rooted social norms that drive gender-based violence (GBV), limit girls’ access to education, and restrict women’s economic empowerment.

The project will focus on shifting attitudes around gender equality and school safety, while equipping 200 women and girls with financial literacy and entrepreneurship training to strengthen their economic resilience. Local behavior change structures—Behavior Change Committees—will be established and supported to sustain community-led action beyond the project timeline.

Working closely with traditional and religious leaders, the project will also engage local institutions to promote positive norms and policies that protect and uplift women and girls. Monitoring and documentation of outcomes will guide future scale-up efforts within and beyond Hong LGA.

This pilot builds on existing community readiness and stakeholder support, aiming to create safer, more equitable environments for women and girls in one of Adamawa’s most underserved regions.
