The IHE Delft Water and Development Partnership Programme, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers a limited number of full and partial scholarships for its MSc Programme in Water and Sustainable Development. These scholarships aim to strengthen capacity and build networks of water professionals in Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

Key Details:

  • Coverage: Full scholarships cover tuition, insurance, travel, and a monthly allowance (€1,220); partial funding is also available.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be from one of 30+ eligible SIDS (e.g., Fiji, Jamaica, Maldives), have academic admission to the MSc programme, and commit to conducting research in their home region tied to a programme-supported project.
  • Requirements: Participation in programme seminars, intent to return to the home country, and an employer recommendation letter are required.
  • Selection Criteria: Priority is given to female applicants, those with strong motivation and academic backgrounds, relevant work experience, and co-funding from other sources.
  • Application: No separate scholarship form is needed; eligibility is assessed upon admission.
  • Deadline: Apply and submit all required documents, including English proficiency test scores (if applicable), by 1 June 2025. Results announced on 1 July 2025.
