The inauguration of the Committee on Women and Child Survival System (COMWACSS) was organized by the Kano Emirate Council Committee on Health (KECCoH) on the directives of His Highness the Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II CON. COMWACCS is supposed to work at the ward level under the auspices of KECCoH to ensure successful health care delivery to the community especially women and children who are the most vulnerable. The main function of COMWACSS is to provide vital information on child birth, maternal and child death and records of other health related matters to KECCoH. Such information woudl be used by Kano Emirate Council and Kano State Government in health care delivery.
