Unique Royal Sisters

Grantee Name: Unique Royal Sisters

Location: Abia State

Project Summary: This project aims to restore and sustain essential HIV prevention, testing, and treatment services for 2,000 female sex workers (FSWs) across eight local government areas in Abia State, Nigeria. In response to funding disruptions that have limited access to lifesaving care, the initiative will re-establish access to key prevention tools such as PrEP, condoms, and STI treatment.

The project will expand community-based HIV testing services and strengthen referral systems to ensure that FSWs who test positive are linked to antiretroviral therapy (ART) without delay. Peer-led outreach programs will be reactivated to engage FSWs with education and prevention messaging, while digital health tracking tools will be introduced to support treatment and prevention adherence.

With a focus on sustainability, the project will collaborate with existing procurement networks to stabilize the supply of prevention commodities and ensure continuity of services. Through these efforts, the initiative aims to close service gaps, reduce new infections, and protect the health and dignity of one of the most at-risk populations in the state.
