Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN-PAS), under the Partnership for Advocacy in child and Family Health at Scale (PACFaH@Scale), has supported the First quarter MNCH TWG group meeting conducted to review the activities of the quarter and planned for the second quartering Kano State.  

The meeting, which was organized to review the RMNCAH+N strategy in the state, also discussed the role of non-health MDAs in implementing the strategy.

Highlight of the meeting the presentations made the focal persons from each of the member MDAs. Partners also made presentations the heat stable carbetocin as a substitute for oxytocin due to cost effectiveness. Their presentation was aimed at including carbetocin as essential drug as part of measure to address PPH. Review of the QI RMNCAH+N activities was also conducted to assess the level of implementation.

• MWAN-PAS to support the launching of RMNCAH+N strategy document, FP CIP, FP logo to be launched on the safe motherhood day.
