dRPC’s investment in promoting climate change adaptation in Nigeria is through evidence generation and building the capacities of civil society organisations and supporting government agencies in the design, planning, and implementation of climate-effective policies at the national and subnational levels. The intersectionality of climate change and agriculture for women empowerment; and climate change and girls’ education are two priority areas of the dRPC’s work on Climate Action. Over the past 3 years, the dRPC has published issue briefs, international conference presentations and worked strategically as a key stakeholder in climate change education to contribute to evidence generation on climate action in Nigeria. The dRPC’s Executive Director has featured on selection committees for climate action awards including the Climate Resilience Impact Fund.
