The Meaning-Making Research Initiatives (MRI) 2026 – Special Call for Female Scholars, hosted by CODESRIA, supports ambitious, collaborative research led by women scholars in Africa. Female-led research groups of 3–5 members are eligible for funding of up to USD 25,000 to implement a 16-month project aligned with CODESRIA’s 2023–2027 thematic priorities, including democratization, economic transformation, and ecology and society.
