This position is for a candidate with exceptional technical skills and an innovative approach to development research and programming. The position holder will conduct studies and researches, write reports, blogs and peer reviewed papers on topics related poverty, health, and economic development with gender as cross cutting.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate qualifications in the Social Sciences, eg. Economics; Public Finance; Sociology; International Development Studies; Women’s Studies
  • Minimum working experience of 1-3 years in development programming
  • Ability to use data analysis software
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Interest in growing your publication record

The ideal candidate must be interested in data visualization, information curation and display in the virtual space. S/he will also create and manage content (images, video and written) for the organization’s website; organize social media events; support online advocacy; develop and expand community and outreach efforts; work with the media and design a project media strategy; monitor online traffic to the organization’s website; monitor trends in Social Media conversations and trends; analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns.  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, New Media or Information Management
  • Tech savvy and must have experience using all social media platforms
  • Good command of the English language
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to draft, edit and simplify complex material rapidly and accurately.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the smooth running of the office through administrative responsibilities by providing support for the operations of the office by putting policies, systems and procedures in place. Tasks include maintaining internal and external office resources, documentation, cultivating relationships and communicating with vendors/officials, keeping office calendars, following up on partner commitments, arranging and facilitating meetings, taking meeting minutes, facilitating procurement, managing the office premises by organising maintenance and repairs, supporting trainings/workshops/meetings and coordinating logistics.

Requirements:

  • Must be resourceful, flexible and have excellent multi-tasking, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum working experience of 1-3 years in administrative roles
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or post graduate qualifications
  • Open to a professional working experience in the development sector
  • S/he can be a serving or recently graduated Youth Corper already posted to FCT

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for developing and implementing project MEAL tools, plans and systems. S\he will work with the Program team and lead Researcher for quality monitoring and evaluation, and learning across all our projects. The MEAL Officer will develop project indicators, collect, validate, analyse data, write reports for submission to funders. The MEAL Officer must have subject specialist knowledge of gender; leadership development; health; and/or education programs. S/he will also make field visits to project sites.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position in a non-profit
  • Masters in Development Studies; Statistics; Economics; or Social Sciences
  • Mastery of data analysis software including Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS, Access, and other statistical packages as evidenced by the submission of M&E report
  • Capacity for analytical and technical writing
  • Deep passion for research, inquiry and knowledge generation

The ideal candidate will contribute to strengthening the HRM procedures and systems of the NGO. S/he will design and support a comprehensive review of the HRM systems and structure of the organization and recommend strengthening actions and a plan, working in collaboration with current HRM staff. The ideal candidate will pay particular attention to implementing the organization’s training and development program.

Requirements:

  • BSc and/or post-graduate qualifications in Management, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related fields
  • Accreditations from HR certified bodies (CIPM, SHRM,CIPD)
  • Minimum working experience of 3 years as a HR practitioner in a non-profit setting
  • Good understanding of labour laws, disciplinary procedure as well as Knowledge of modern HR functions
  • Outstanding organizational, time-management abilities, communication, interpersonal skills, mediation, negotiation skills and motivational aptitude

Under the supervision of the Director of Communications the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the communication strategy of projects. S/he will produce project summaries and updates; disseminate information on audience segmented platforms (social and conventional); assist the design and shaping of the organisation’s brand. S/he will monitor trends and conversations, analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of media campaigns. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Post-graduate qualifications in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, or Information Management/Technology
  • Tech savvy and must have 2 to 3 years experience using all social media platforms
  • Good command of the English language, spoken and written
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to draft, edit and simplify complex material rapidly and accurately.

The Finance Officer will prepare vouchers; prepare monthly financial reports; post and maintain financials in QuickBooks Accounting software; make activity budgets; file back-up documents and keep records; prepare other periodic financial reports as may be requested; prepare cash advance liquidations for review and submission; support  audit of  accounts; support and facilitate payments in workshops; facilitate effective, efficient and real-time financial transaction recordings, review all postings from sub-awardees offices.

 Requirements:

  • First degree in Business Management, Accounting or Finance
  • Master’s degree and/or professional qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA will be a decided advantage
  • Proficiency in the use of Quick books accounting software and/or other accounting software applications
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in non-profit accounting
  • A keen interest in financial analysis, as well as interest working with programs team and a dedication to professionalism
  • Honesty, professionalism and highest ethical standards

The Admin Officer will be responsible for managing the smooth running of the office by leading on operational tasks and activities in line with relevant policies, systems and procedures. Tasks include maintaining internal and external office correspondences, resources, and assets. S/he will also cultivate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, keep the office calendar, arrange and facilitate meetings, taking minutes, facilitate procurement, and managing the office premises by organising maintenance and repairs. This officer will work in collaboration with the Logistics Officer.

Requirements:

  • Resourcefulness, flexibility with excellent capacity for multi-tasking and communicating effectively
  • Minimum working experience of 2-3 years in administrative roles in a non-profit setting
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or post graduate qualifications in management
  • Honesty, steadfastness, strong coordination abilities and high ethical standards
