FP funding gaps: Learn from other African countries, PAS groups tell national, sub-national governments
To address such issues a key stakeholder in the Family Planning space, Nigeria Medical Women convened a panel discussion to discuss the FP funding gap.

The Federal Government is Committed to Funding FP- Finance Minister
From the 2017 and 2021 national budget, N6.8 billion has been allocated to family planning, out of which N3.6 billion was released. What was observed was that not all funds allocated were released especially in 2017 and 2018 where 93% and 33% of the fund allocated were released respectively. Also, the N809 million allocated in 2021 fiscal year has not been released. Recall that the N900 million funding gap for 2019 was proposed to be released from the Service Wide Vote (SWV)




Kaduna Roundtable Forum: PAS Coalition, Others Want More Investments For The Health Sector
Organized the Development Forum in conjunction with the state government; the roundtable forum was organized to discuss how the state can accelerate economic growth and development. However, most of the presentations centered on how investment in the health sector can increase economic development possibilities for the state.

FAMILY PLANNING COMMODITIES PROCUREMENT: PAS COALITION PARTNERS KDHSMA TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS
PAS coalition revealed that an implementation memo was sent to KDHSMA to follow up the process with the identification of UNFPA, who agreed to do the procurement internationally when the process is completed.
