How to Apply to International Institute of Social Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR)

Are you ready to join the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) for the 2025/2026 academic year? Here’s how to apply:

Step 1: Register via: Home – Studielink (the Dutch national registration system). Registration opens in the first week of October 2024.

Step 2: Finalize your application in the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) Admission Portal.

Follow these steps to ensure your application is complete:

  • Complete all steps in both Studielink and the EUR Admission Portal.
  • Submit required documents, including academic transcripts, proof of English proficiency, two reference letters, a motivation statement, and a recent resume/CV.

Please note: ISS does not engage third-party agencies for admissions. Apply directly through our official channels.

Documents Needed:

  • Academic Transcripts: Include certified photocopies of degrees and translations if not in English.
  • English Proficiency: Check if this is necessary based on our academic requirements.
  • Reference Letters: Two letters, with at least one from your most recent academic institute.
  • Motivation Statement: Describe why you chose ISS and how it aligns with your career goals (800 words, PDF).
  • Resume/CV: Updated version required.

After Submission:

  • The Admissions Board will review your application within four weeks.
  • Ensure you read admission and enrolment procedures carefully.
  • Check your email spam folder regularly for our communications.
