The World Health Organization (WHO) announced a vacancy for the position of Director MCA, Maternal, Newborn, Child & Adolescent Health & Ageing (MNCAH&A).
Overview:
The Director of MCA, Maternal, Newborn, Child & Adolescent Health & Ageing (MNCAH&A), will be responsible for leading WHO’s global efforts to improve health outcomes for women, children, adolescents, and older people. This leadership position is part of WHO’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) initiative and is essential to achieving quality, people-centered health systems with a focus on primary health care.
In this role, the Director will work to develop and implement evidence-based policies and strategies, focusing on increasing access to quality health services across life stages. Special attention will be given to countries with the highest burden of maternal and child mortality, ensuring that every person, from birth to old age, can thrive and enjoy good health.

- Contract Duration: 24 months
- Primary Location: Geneva, Switzerland
- Closing Date: November 5, 2024
- Remuneration: Starting base salary of USD 117,280, plus allowances and benefits
- Required Qualifications: Advanced degree (master’s or above) in public health or related fields; PhD is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in health management, including senior-level advisory roles and resource management.
- Competencies: Strong leadership, policy development, and stakeholder engagement skills.
