dRPC participates in the ILO meeting panel to discuss “The Importance of Ease of Formalization of WECs as a Pathway to Equity & the PAWED experience”

The International Labour Organisation convened a seminar themed Road Map to Foster National Conditions for Women’s Entrepreneurship Development and Enterprise Formalisation. The dRPC was invited to speak on the panel on formalization of women economic collectives in Nigeria.
Drawing from the experience of the BMGF-funded PAWED project, the dRPC discussed the model used to increase their formalization process and for working through WECs to support the implementation of women’s economic empowerment themes. This platform is one of many platforms where dRPC is sharing lessons learned and best practices from the PAWED project on the importance of formalization of WECs as a pathway for equity.
